Magic Castle

The goal was to create a home for this young couple that tapped into all their literary dreams, but in a refined, yet playful way.

The clients didn’t want or need a formal dining room, so turning this space into a library meets game room (complete with a window seat for reading and an extendable wooden table) was a win/win solution.

The clients had asked for a special something for the home that would be a total surprise for them when they moved in (no approval needed!) … so they got a smoking nun painting to watch over them eating toast every morning.

The wallpaper above the bed is made using the same technique as vintage book bindings… which adds a subtle nod to the client’s love of books.

The wardrobe from “The Chronicles of Narnia” was the inspiration for the closet in the primary bedroom, why not feel like you’re about to enter a magic realm every time you get dressed?

The nursery was designed to grow up alongside the family’s newest addition, so a custom jungle inspired mural was commissioned and hand-drawn onto the walls using multiple techniques.
